In time with Apple’s iPad/ iPod/iPhone revolution and Pope Benedict XVI’s blessing on social networking, the Roman Catholic Church approved an iTunes application called Confession ($1.99). According to the developer, it is the “the perfect aid for every penitent.”
For my students, this is a timely news since we have just finished discussing the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Tim Stevens of http://www.engadget.com posted a screenshot of the app.
So, how does this app work?
When you have your Examination of Conscience, the app would help you recall if you did not follow a certain commandment. Good thing that there is list of violations under each commandment. So, it’s like making a list of your sin. Ok, what about the steps that you need to follow in confessing your sins? Well, the app also serves as a guide for you.
What do you think about it?
